Personal training

Success is 90% showing up & refusing to give up. The personal training setup at Move Gym removes the excuses. The new space is quiet, modern & purpose built with air conditioning and a convenient central Albury location. It's a place you will look forward to coming to. With change room and a dedicated warm-up room you can come straight from work or go there right after your session.

Our studio has just about everything you would find in a commercial gym - squat rack, barbells and dumbbells, cable machine, kettlebells, treadmill, bikes, rowing machine,​ sled and more. The best bit? You have it all to yourself! This setup gives us tremendous scope for variety in your training and we have the right training tools to get the results you need. 

Training programs are specific to you & your goals. In a session you may use one or two pieces of equipment, the whole gym or no equipment at all. It depends on what we need to achieve on a particular day.

I love to run. It has always been a part of my life, and hitting the trails around Albury Wodonga is one of my favourite things to do. I haven't been able to run for the last year & I have missed it dearly!

I am a certified
Running Coach with Athletics Australia and my specialty is helping people get started with running, or get back into it after a break. If you have been injured, are in your 30's or 40's or beyond then I can help. I always start with a simple "run until you can't, walk until you can" approach. This, combined with specific core and stability training will help your body absorb the demands of running and also avoid injuries.

You could be aiming for your first 5km Park Run or thinking about a marathon. I'll get you started and give you the best chance of staying injury free. Using my methods you could actually even enjoy it! Call today and drop in for a chat.

nutrition

If you need to lose weight then most of the battle is won or lost in the kitchen, not the gym or the running track. Unfortunately there are no quick fixes & no "best diet" for everyone. My approach to nutrition is to help you develop individual strategies to managing your eating & do more of the things you already know you need to do. It's more about coaching & helping you develop healthy eating habits than selling a particular product as all the studies show that people don't stick to diets long term.

I am currently studying with Precision Nutrition & will be offering a nutrition coaching service in the future. 

Being overweight is a much more complicated issue than simply being too busy or having too many easy "fast food" options. So often there are deeper reasons for being overweight and a good place to start is with addressing some of those.
